Interview Waived
Hi everyone,
I just spoke to a live USCIS agent he said
When I spoke with the agent, he said:
Your case is with the National Benefits Center. It has not been transferred to a field office yet. The case is in process and processing normally, and the office has waived the interview.
Do you think that’s a good sign? Has anyone had a similar experience?

if a final decision hasn't been made, the interview hasn't been waived.

Doesn’t this mean the interview has already been waived?

@Adibakhon Abdullajonova It is possible but we can’t know for certain until after it is transferred to FO. Live agent info is not 100% reliable as you could get different responses each time. Typically for EB1, interview is not needed. So that’s a positive.

@amdsk a Thanks for your response! I honestly didn’t know that live agents might say different things sometimes.

@Adibakhon Abdullajonova they are not very reliable. your chance of not getting interview is very high as that's typical of EB1 petition

My i140 is approved and i485 interview wavied. I am hoping for the same.....direct approval hopefully

@Adibakhon Abdullajonova It might make sense to consider Premium processing for i140 if your priority date is current

@F R how do you know interview is waived?
F R17h
under i485 it says step 2 biometic completed and step 3 interview completed. step 4 is case decision so I am assuming it has been wavied.
amdsk a15h
@F R unfortunately that’s unreliable. Interview is not waived until it is. Sometimes we can confirm it is waived if case moves to non-local field office
