@leen that doesn't make sense! @Daniel T two weeks ago I was told through chat with Emma that the interview was waived in July and that Hartford FO has my case, which is not my FO as we live in Massachusetts so that would be Boston. On Tuesday, I received notification update that an interview was scheduled. While I am disappointed that they didn't hold the initial waived interview decision, I am not surprised as we are past our 2 yr anniversary which means I should get the 10 yr GC if approved. I think that is the reason there will be interview after all. How long have you been married?

@Emma S. This is a post I shared on another subject but same thing applies. Unfortunately nobody in here has inside information and can accurately answer your question. However, I will tell you that everyone is told that their interview is waived, rather it is or not. The agents on EMMA answer the questions you ask however you want them to. Try to ask again and ask if they know what date you will have your interview. They will probably tell you they don't know and not that its waived. They try not to cause conflict and upset people with answers they don't want to hear. So they give you the results you want based off your questions.... FIT, Interviews use to NEVER be waived.... due to the COVID situation which is pretty much over with now. Everyone should start expecting interviews from now on.

@Jacob Dill of course we don't know their reasoning for waiving interviews and I am aware they were never waived before covid. However, based on other people's posts it seems the majority of cases waived are for conditional cards, also they didn't start waiving interviews in the bulks until the middle of last year. So I don't think it's as much about covid and health reasons but rather dealing with the huge backlog that was caused from the lockdowns. So I think they will keep waiving interviews this year, until they have a handle on that.

@Daniel T I’m in the same boat! I’m now also scrambling to remember all the links I saved about prepping for the interview. The Emma agent live chat had also earlier told us the interview was waived.

I've talked to friends who have done interviews, also checked Lawfully interview reviews, and other websites. Usually the questions most asked are about the beginning of the relationship. When did you meet, how? When did you start dating? Who proposed? What was the proposal like? The wedding, guests, etc. Full names, date of births, names of parents and siblings, degrees held. There is usually at least one question about the place you live in (if you live together) like what brand appliances you have or something similar. All my friends shared that they were either asked what did you do the day before or the weekend? Make sure you only answer what you were asked, don't give voluntarily information. If you don't know an answer to a question just say you're unsure, better that than saying something that your spouse will answer differently. Good luck!
