interview next month
hi community, my interview is next month (marriage based) and my spouse and myself filled the taxes together but I have social security and he had the tax id, do you think that will be a problem because he was working while we were married waiting for the social to come?

did he have some kind of work authorization?
they will ask about working without authorization at the interview. don't lie about it. I've heard they will often forgive that for marriage visas. I would ask a lawyer though.

no problem at all. I am in the same situation. I filled jointly, I have an ITIN and was working without authorization and I am honest about it on my application.

I’ve heard the same that they forgive that for marriage cases, hopefully they don’t make such a big deal about it

just tell them u hate to depend on others and you felt you also needed to work and contribute your skills to national devt

I file with my husband using my tax ID before we went to interview. I also took those transcripts with me.
