@Ak Ak the notice is nothing bad they maybe are just telling you they are cancelling and will reschedule your interview with a future date

I read that cases are getting approved even without any interviews.

I saw when this happened to others they approved them without interview so fingers cross hope this is what it mean for you also

my interview was cancelled last year on December as well in Seattle office, am waiting to be rescheduled again it’s been 3 months of waiting for a new date and almost 3 years since we sent the i-130 application.

@Mercy Did you tried reaching out to them? The only way to connect that I know is through Emma chat live agent. but in this occasion they didn’t have much information on the response.

I am creating this post so that everyone who is in similar situation can read others experience and have some knowledge. There are many uncertainties with this process and everyone need some place to refer.

Yes my lawyer contacted the ombudsman office that’s why we got an interview after 2 years of waiting but they it got cancelled due to been late and now I guess we just have to wait and see. I know they are understaffed coz my interviewer told us she would have interviewed us it’s just that they don’t have enough staff, so if you get your interview date don’t be late with even 5 minutes.

got my notice today and it just mention that due to unforeseen circumstances the interview is canceled. A separate notice will be sent to reschedule or something else. This sucks. why so much wait….

Was your interview rescheduled? I had exactly same problem as you. I am in Seattle and my interview was scheduled in Portland on April 8th. Got very excited and on March 8th, one week after scheduled it was canceled. Just would like to know if they take too long to reschedule.

Nope! my I-130 was last updated 12 months ago when they received. my I-131 was approved in October and that’s all was approved. Very upsetting to have interview schedule and canceled. it seems like our process has same timeline and both Seattle to be scheduled in Portland

@Nathanny did you send your medical report with the initial application?

no I didn’t. I just got my medical exam since the interview was going to be next month. I just heard from 3 girls that are in a what’s app group (GC in Seattle), that they had their interview waived. they did not send the exam and they asked to send to USCIS and then had I130 approved and got the GC without interview 😅
