im already in the us waiting on my interview too but the last I heard was they not doing any interviews right now I have a friend who’s daughter did her interview from last year an still haven’t received back her passport as yet

my wife uncle just got date for interview in Jamaica after waiting about 2 years.

nope, it's an adjustment of status, I came here legally so everything is done here

@Shane, I would adjust status like you if work permits were fastly given while I wait. I didn't want to get stuck not working and get depressed . Thanks

alot of people are able to find work without permits and works, I got work and pay taxes

yeah an you can also obtain a tax Id number but not everybody or every company will accept it but worth a try an it’s better to join the line from now rather than wait

that's what I did, took awhile but I got it in time for tax season and my interview for my greencard is next month

my i-130 is already at consular service, may cannot change now
