I think initial is normal…my letter did say that as well
itssme moyApr 2, 2022
S M did you get the approval at your initial interview?
S MApr 2, 2022
not everyone gets an approval on the spot. I did not unfortunately and still waiting. lots of people did their interview and are still waiting for a decision but it all depends on your field office. some field offices approve right away if they don’t need to do anything else on your case.

do you mind telling me what was field office and when did that interview occurred and what based you are applying for. if you give me a little bit of idea that may somehow help.
S MApr 2, 2022
I will be honest with you, uscis is stressful enough and I don’t understand how so many people care to know details of someone else’s case because for me it does nothing but increase my stress levels.
but if it helps you,
my field office was Philly
my interview was Feb 17 family base
since you are employment base I wouldn’t worry too much. just spend the time to prepare for your interview and don’t try to use other people’s experience and make it your own. every case is very different. just trust everything will go well for you and believe it.
good luck

@itssme moy did you file for a dependent?
itssme moyApr 2, 2022
no
Brown 🤎 NegroApr 2, 2022
Wow! It seems like they are really giving interview to everyone.
itssme moyApr 2, 2022
why do you say that?
Brown 🤎 NegroApr 2, 2022
They stopped giving interview to Employment-based since 2020. However, I have been getting reports of EB3 applicants scheduled for interview in 2022. Initially, I thought there were special cases (maybe had dependents or with complicated immigration histories), but I guess I'm wrong!
itssme moyApr 2, 2022
yes I also heard some of the fellas got their gc without an interview. so I’m not sure why but they are picking randomly for interviews I guess?
Brown 🤎 NegroApr 3, 2022
Ok. The thought of that interview scares, you know.
itssme moyApr 3, 2022
I agree with you but is it always needs be scared and all?

my wife paid for a PhD equivalency from a US university, they wrote it as if she was a man, like Mr. but the interviewer wanted to know if we knew the person who wrote and blablabla. she did not understand it was just an equivalency letter. I speak English fluently, but my wife does not and she was having trouble understanding some questions specifically because she was nervous. the interviewer did not let me speak because I am not the main applicant. so it was very awkward.

some people including the lawyer said we would be fine without an interpreter, but we did not count on this interviewer.
itssme moyApr 8, 2022
how did the interviewer found out about it
done, not doneApr 8, 2022
about what?
itssme moyApr 10, 2022
about your wife issue
done, not doneApr 10, 2022
she just asked why is was mentioning Mr, and we said the truth. it is no illegal to pay for the equivalency letter, the the interviewer did not seem to understand it
itssme moyApr 10, 2022
I don’t understand how did the interviewer know about she applied for equivalency by university. how did the that topic start even? even she applied for that I don’t see any issue!
done, not doneApr 10, 2022
because as I said the letter is basically written he instead of she. When the letter addresses her as Mr
itssme moyApr 10, 2022
ok
