I don’t think you need an employment document if you are granted asylum. Your I-94 should be enough to get a job or an ID.

you do not need the EAD card. to confirm this; find your approval notice with the list of information that was included in the document regarding EAD, Social Security Card, applying for AOS, etc. this document provides details that the EAD is not necessary to continue working. Also you should have already removed restrictions on your SS card. you are fine. however I suggest reading the asylum approval notice again to confirm.
