so will they intentionally delay ? or it’s just that they don’t have time to look into the case .. asking because mine seems stuck for about 6 months after interview and they say the background checks is still going on

They are not doing any background check. They already have your FBI report. They just want to delay your case

facts my background check been pending for 2 years lol that’s what they told me so yeah it’s bul shit I’m suing them btw

what should I do now? should I wait and file N400 and see if progresses anything or is there any other way to push this further? I don’t want to hire lawyer.

all I can say is this system is based on luck ! some folks get their GC approved on the spot or within 30 days ! others aren’t to lucky! if you haven’t heard anything within 120 days consider your case unlooked at! if you want any type of response or movement hire an attorney and have a judge force them to make a decision otherwise you’ll be sitting and waiting 2 years like me with a clear history clean travel record been with my spouse 7 years married 2 have a child with my Spouse that’s 4 years old now who’s also a citizen so my brother this system is not designed to process apps in order! I would file both sure that way you get two interviews one for the gc and naturalization

You should clear up your I-751 first. They are holding it up for a reason. Were you or your spouse married before?

there is no reason! I literally got an email in January from USCIS stating that my application hasn’t been reviewed yet and that’s why it hasn’t been adjudicated yet! so don’t believe the bull shit!

no, my spouse was never married before. I have clear history too, I was on h1b initially for 5 years. also I did submit my biometric but site does not reflect that, could this be an issue?

No that’s not the issue. A lazy officer just packed your case on a shelf. Go ahead and file the N-400 at least that will get your case transferred from the clown currently with it

it happened to me when I applied for I485 and it was pending for a year. I'm worried it's going to happen again with my I751 and N400, hopefully it won't happen

Look up your local congressman, they should have a web page where you can discuss an issue. Choose immigration or anything close and give a brief description of your case. Include your case #.
