why would i751 application gets transferred from california service center to nbc then a day later, gets transferred back to Cali service center? after filing n400

@sf fuler: From what my attorney said NBC is a background check office, most times cases are transferred there and later transfer back to the original office for a final decision on the case. So probably your case was transferred there for a background check and sent back California office( which is your service center) to continue your case.

I believe once NBC is done with a background check each case they send it back to the original service center.

@gods speed yes it seems like you’re correct. that’s the info I found online too. it’s weird tho Bec every time I call they tell me something different. yesterday they said my case is with the nbc 🤦🏻
