i485j before biometrics
hello all,
I have received the i485j notice on Friday 20 Jan, but our biometrics are not scheduled until Friday 4 Feb. Based on other posts this waiver notice can be positive news, but I can’t find any other timings where the notice was received before the biometrics. Am trying not to read too much into anything, but any feedback would be much appreciated, if you did receive the notice before BM and if there was any impact.

if your notice is 485j fee was waived then that’s the standard.. I don’t think it’s good or bad

everybody receives the same notice, mine was before BM.. and hasn’t had any impact.. at least not to my knowledge. the case is taking time that’s a separate discussion

it’s not really about the bio timings or 485j it’s about the receipt date for the 485. yours was December 21 so approval is about a year or so from that date if you looks at the processing times

the main document is I-140 for which you need the approval

@rehan the i140 is already approved, I believe it’s the GC approval the enquiry was referring to
