Zansi - did you file to renew your EAD before applying for adjustment of status? or did you file for EAD at the same time you filed for adjustment of status? if not, then I believe that you should have. it could have prevent you from losing your job while you work things out with USCIS. 😕 that is provided the loss of employment was due to lack of EAD. I'm sorry you lost your job, by the way.

I was in the same situation and was told asylum based don’t have to renew their EAD since we can use with the I94 .. I had no issue with that

if u are approved asylee, u don’t need EAD card. u are still eligible to work. go to myverify.uscis.gov website to check your work eligibility and take screenshot and show it to your employer.
