How long did the reopening process take? Was it a Motion or an appeal? Sorry, I’m also waiting. It’s been 47 days for me for a motion.

Thanks R MK! I talk to a lady and hers was family based case. She said her case was finalized after a year of reopening. It scared me and I refilled along with a MTR. She said it’s hard to get USCIS to admit their mistake. Although, I’m employment based with everything approved…I-140, 485j, medicals turned in etc. I’m not sure if it will take that long. Hers was stuck on I-130 approval and she still had the whole process to go through including interview etc.

what was the reason for denial

I have been here for a while rolling form one visa type to another. I got an RFE where USCIS asked for entry I-94 stamp along with my medicals and 485j signed by the employer. They approved my 485j and medicals, but denied my green card stating “I didn’t submit my last 20 years of legal stay proof.” My lawyer argued that in the RFE only entry stamp was requested. I’m not sure why they would deny stating we didn’t turn in all 20 years of “legal stay” proofs?!?! Anyhow, that’s the reason for my denial, but we filed a motion to reopen and reconsider with rest of the 20 years of proof attached.

@PK M USCIS didn’t request the i130 from the US Embassy abroad, they said that my mother was not eligible

@N K that’s crazy they already approved your i485 new card produce should be next and then they denied your gc sometimes they’re unbelievable with their reasoning

My husband is a USA citizen but he live outside the country. He want to file for me i130. And also 6 years a go i went for DV lottery married visa interview but was rejected the relationship did not work out so am divorce. Will this effect my case and also my husband living in an other country will also affect me or prevent me not to have a visa.

@eddy coco no update and still haven’t received the reopen notice to our new address even though we changed our address on uscis I even called them twice to make sure our address was changed

what number did you use bcos I try call them it go to a computer answering questions

i don’t understand what they’re doing they reopen and then denied and then reopened again, seems like they’re just playing with people’s emotion 😞 i wonder if it’s better to refile the whole thing
