they don’t process the i485 until the i360 is approved.

@adriana I have been scheduled for interview but I didn't receive any approval for i360 yet

I am also an VAWA applicant , took 2 years to get approved and now after 1,5 years more got scheduled for an interview for i485 .

That’s a suprise to be honest , maybe you got approved but never got a notice ? when did you apply?

if it’s for i485 then it’s for green card , otherwise you would’ve been scheduled for i360 interview, sometimes they do that but very rarely .

so how do I find out if I am approved or not because when I called Uscis they told me they cannot discuss so they know i have vawa pending and asked them to hold when I applied yet they scheduled

Do you have a lawyer ? because i had questions in regards to my change of address and the live agent didn’t provide me with any information, saying they can’t access vawa applicants files because it’s confidential. So if you try getting in touch with them through EMMA or call they will say to write a letter to Vermont office ( and they of course don’t reply ) so it’s a dead end … Maybe if you have a lawyer this could help explain better what’s going on . I also have my interview next week in a different state than i am now because i moved and they didn’t change my address so i am expecting surprises when i go to my interview but hopefully everything will be fine , which i wish for you as well.

@adriana my lawyer told me to go and give them the receipt and g28 form but I M hoping they interview me and approve it because I have lot going on in my case

Yeah , they don’t provide any information through the phone , i tried multiple times and no luck, you can write them but since you will have your interview in less than a month i don’t think you will hear back from them, so i would just go with all the documents you have supporting your case for vawa and i485 and the actual file and if you are lucky they might approve you on the spot and you might get your green card .

well my current status showing correspondence has received and Uscis is reviewing it on my vawa so let's see what happens when I go.

I am flying without my lawyer since it’s 2000 miles away but i will still take all my vawa supporting documents and my file with all the proof and hopefully God will be with me and will help me go through the interview just fine . I do hope you go there and they approve you so you don’t have to stress anymore . I know how you feel, after being with this case for 3,5 years i am ready to be over this and sleep calm at night , too much stress .

you had a long time to go attorney doesn't go all the time, they should but they won't which is happening in my case as well. you have approved vawa so they shouldn't bother you with unecessary question I hope. pray all goes well for you pray for me too.

Sometimes the status online doesn’t update in months , happened to me , my case says fingerprints were taken but i have my interview scheduled already. Can i ask you something, do you get any documents from them or do they go directly to your lawyer? since i applied i never got anything, everything goes to my lawyer , even the interview notice ( i never received one ) and when i chatted online with the agent he couldn’t verify my case by my address saying that’s not the address they have on file ( i gave them the old address that is on my application and the one i moved to now ) so i had to give my lawyer’s address for them to find my case and still tell me they can’t provide me with any information 😩
