I130 and I485 2.5 years waiting!
guys , I’m in Seattle WA and I know how busy this center is. but it’s just driving me crazy, my I130 doesn’t have a decision yet and I’ve been waiting for interview for 5 , soon 6 months (they changed the status to “ready to be scheduled for an interview” only 2 (!!) years after filing). Does anyone have a success story of asking them to move interview to another center? also, anyone from same category and same city waiting for this long or is it just me ???

if the local office is close to you, I would go in there and talk to a manager. just be nice and they can be extremely helpful. telling from personal experience as I recently did and got approved right that day without an interview.
Ana AlbantovSep 26, 2022
@tim Tim thank you so much, I will definitely do so!!!!

@ Tim Tim please what will you advice take along when going to the local office to make complains/ find help to a stagnated case? thanks in anticipation!
Tim TimSep 27, 2022
@slick I probably got very lucky but I went to the office 3-4 times and each person at the front desk kept giving me different answers basically pushing me to go away. finally one person was nice enough to let me speak to a manger and from there everything was very smooth. it all depends on who you see and if they are in a good mood to help but I think if you stay nice to them they might help you

@ Tim Tim thanks so much for the response. I’ll keep trying till I find that lucky person

@ Tim Tim, have gone thrice and same response of we don’t allow walk in, many others waiting like you. The third time I was asked to get an appointment on infopass and come with my spouse because he’s the primary applicant. My husband want to call and see if we can get an appointment. What else will you advice regarding this pls?

Congratulations Ana. Did you do anything? And how far out where you scheduled?
Ana AlbantovNov 18, 2022
I didn’t go to the field office if you mean it. just got a notification that interview is scheduled on Oct 5th and the actual interview took place on Nov 15th. the interview itself took no more than 40 minutes
