financial loss, I had a job offer at a law firm. my expedited went unanswered! I reached out to my Congress woman and she pushed it for me

Hi Clay, how quickly did Senators office respond to you? I’m thinking of using the same. So when you emailed them you didn’t send evidence along with your letter? I was thinking of sending the job offer letter too but mine doesn’t have a letter head, so maybe I should leave it out unless they ask for it?

My expedite request already got reject twice, once by me once through congressman

Congress woman responded after 3 weeks, that’s last Wednesday, I filed the form and responded on Thursday. she probably sent it Thursday or Friday depending on how busy her office is. Monday I got new card being produced notification, today AP approved

hopeful girl, I didn’t use a senator I used a Congressman. I emailed a senator but never got a response

she took the receipt to make sure I was in her district. to verify my address

oh right I misread. Mine didn’t ask for the receipt but she did ask for evidence. Cuttimg it very close my EAD expires Oct 18 I don’t want to lose my job 😭

she told me I could add a letter from the company with company letter head if I want but I didn’t add it since my firm wasn’t going to issue an official letter till I start working.

yeah my current job won’t give me a letter because we went through this is January already 😭

Hi clay! congratulations on your approval. Did you do everything thru email with your congresswoman? Do you know if they contacted uscis by phone or by email as well? when you realized your case was approved, did your congresswoman notify you? sorry for the many question… my congressman sent a request to uscis a week ago and no answer so far.

yes Thays, everything was done by email I have no idea how they contacted uscis. but I heard it’s faster by Phone unlike email that can take weeks.

Thay your question made me go look through my email. Yes my Congress woman’s case worker got back to me by mail. she shared with me the response she got from USCIS. the response from uscis was by email too so I guess my request was made by email too. My congress woman informed me that I should expect a change in status

this is the message from uscis to my Congress woman : This case will be routed for expedited processing. Once this case is reviewed, your constituent will receive a decision or notice of further action.

Hi Clay, did the status change after you gave your bio? I had my biometric appointment on aug 12, still the status shows as case was received

no my status didn’t change after bio. I had my bio Aug 9th. straight from received to approved
