I-693 Recent RFEs - EB-based - anyone getting GC issued?
I know that at the end of the July or beginning August 2021 there was a text message sent out requesting medical forms from those who did not submit it with their original application for I-485. I was just curious if someone submitted their RFE and got it approved. My status of RFE receipt was just updated two weeks after submission. Haven’t heard back anything yet though. #I-693 Looking to hear from those in that situation. Just guaging the approval situation. PS: my I-140 is already approved. Please ignore what the timeline says. Post update: the I-140 was approved end of March 2021, around 220 days.

p QAug 30, 2021
March of this year. the notice keeps getting undelivered so that’s why it looks weird on this app

I am on the same boat and no news yet! They were asking to send the I-693 using overnight mail and I did so. Still nothing!

same here, still waiting
A KAug 31, 2021
what u guys think will they approve before October?
M RAug 31, 2021
I am not sure, I sent an email to my attorney asking her when she thinks it will be approved and if I will have to go through an interview
A KAug 31, 2021
if you got rfe for medical most probably there is no interview. secondly uscis is trying to approve more case so they can utilize unused greencard which are going to be wasted for this FY

I hope they will approve by October

My guess is it’ll take at least a month after they received the response. In my experience, that’s at least how long it takes to decide on a case after RFE response is received. But I also know someone who waited for almost 6months to get approval after submitting 693 but that was last year though. Looks like things are moving faster now.

My law firm says that “based on [their] data, the average processing time for RFE at Nebraska Service Center is about 2-3 months.” They are WeGreenEd, for those who are interested, they do NIW cases. Not that they need any promo here since people here probably already filed, ha ha.

did anyone heard anything this week from Uscis ?

For me, not a sausage!
p QSep 11, 2021
nope for me My lawyer says that you have to wait 2 to 3 months after submitting RFE for medicals before your case is approved, at least that is what they have been observing with the cases that they have been dealing with for EB2 NIW at NSC.
B
Ben RamySep 11, 2021
Right! I think the best case scenario will be at least a month. But 2 to 3 months sounds right for average processing time.
p QSep 11, 2021
on TrackItt I did see someone with NIW case have their RFE submitted in august around the 13th, and their case status updated to case approved and card produced last week. so 🤞. However they were at NBC not NSC. Meh.
A KSep 11, 2021
the way they were asking to send medicals right away or overnight, I thought they gonna approve next day. lets see coz September is not finished yet
p QSep 11, 2021
LoL 😂 well every day is a new day!

@A K, I actually didn’t bother sending overnight considering how much more expensive that was and knowing it probably wouldn’t make a difference.😅

So I got an update on my 485 today. PS: I sent RFE for 693 in August, as most people here on this thread I believe, and was received Aug 25. Today’s update: Case Transferred To Another Office 😂😂 Clearly not the update I was expecting but I guess this means progress. Anyone has any understanding why 485 case may have been transferred to another office after RFE for Medical?
A KSep 14, 2021
@ben rammy mine case was transferred too from nbc to texas in march and the reason i was told for tranfering is to speed up the process. but guess what my friend who applied after me in same center got approved 4 months ago and im still waiting. they just moving cases here and there but nothing serious they actually gonna speed up. you will get a mail and you will be told the same reason.
B
Ben RamySep 14, 2021
Thanks @A K for your thoughts! my case had been in TSC for at least 3 years. Curious to see where they’ve transferred it to and what the reasons are 😅
A KSep 14, 2021
if your case was in tsc you were eligible to put inquiry as dates are dropped down to 21 months. now you have to see new center timeline
B
Ben RamySep 15, 2021
@A K, service inquiry is a pure waste of time. My case has been outside normal processing time on two separate occasions and when I raised service inquiry on both occasions, it didn’t move the needle. They simply acknowledge receipt of your inquiry and mention they’ll respond within 60 days. Before 60 days are over, the timeline retrogresses again and they tell you your case is now within normal processing times 🙄
