I-485 with blank SSN
My attorney instructed me leaving the SSN field blank in the I-485 form (employment based) for privacy reasons. Is that going to trigger a RFE?

Not everybody has a SSN already when filing for I-485. I would say no.

well, I did have a SSN and my attorney advised me to include it to the form. I don't know if it'll trigger the RFE.

I’d not worry about the SNN, they would have it in the system, I’d worry about your atty knowledge and professionalism

Ivan that was what I thought too. I have SSN and attorney left the field blank to protect my “privacy and security”. I don’t know if they have a streategy in mind, but now it’s too late. the case is filed. I just hope it won’t trigger RFE because of that. I wonder if that is a common practice. did anyone ever received this advice?

No. It had no impact. Most lawyers do this.
