I-360 Case Delays and Surge in RFEs
Hi Folks,
I analyzed I-360 cases filed in 2021 and found that hundreds remain untouched, with no progress, denials of expedite requests, while many others received RFEs even after 38 months. Notably, there has been a surge in RFEs issued over the past three months. It appears that under the new administration, USCIS may be implementing additional barriers to slow processing times and increase the number of RFEs.

I don't think the uscis is implementing additional barriers under the new administration mainly because we are not under the new administration yet. Based on some of the questions I've seen asked on this forum, there are many people who keep making bs applications and tying up these officers with nonsense that makes the process way longer for people with legit cases. The agents that are employed to uscis are not tied to any political party so a change in government wouldn't impact their work. In fact, there are many immigrants working at the ASCs and as other agents so I'm not too worried about a change in government impacting their work ethics.

@H n The increase or surge in RFE to borrow your words you claimed to have discovered, majority over 50 percentage are for medicals. Secondly USCIS would always deny expedite request for petitions that are close to being adjudicated so that it won’t tire up personnel resources that’s already tired up. Almost everyone wants their cases to be heard right now by filing this expedite request and that alone clogs the system the more. Once you have been provided a work authorization and travel document people should learn to live a normal life and wait but of course I know it’s hard. Some people who actually got RFE as it relates to their Vawa, either didn’t submit initial evidence or didn’t submit substantial evidence to proof their relationship on the basis for which their petition is filed while others have to do with their previous divorces. So pls let’s get this straight and not muddle the minds of petitioners that are already living a life of anxiety while waiting after an abusive relationship by misreading data’s we can’t seem to grasp.
