I-131 expedite request received ?
hello everyone. I expedited my 131 because my mom is sick back home and I need to go visit her. Today only the status of form I-131 changed to “Expedite Request Receieved”. I have two questions please: 1- what evidence USCIS will approve for my sick mom? 2- does expediting I-131 mean that my whole package (I-485 and I-765) is also expedited or is it only the travel document ? thanks a lot !

Probably a doctor’s letter describing you mom ilness and health status. If you submitted both I-131 and I-765 at the same time, and they approve your expedite request, they usually send a combo card, meaning they will process both applications together.

C A is right. 765 and 131 usually go together. 486 is unlikely going to be affected

they gave me just advance parole and that’s it

I got an emergency advance parole with multiple entries (1year). They'd need a doctor's report stating the emergency and also saying that your presence is needed on ground. you should have your booked flight itinerary handy, they'll ask for it. I did these and got my advance parole approved 2 weeks ago. I already traveled out of the US 🇺🇸 as I type 😊

Depends on whether you're applying for just expedite or emergency. They'll need evidence of your relationship with your mom as well as anything her doctor can provide to prove she's very sick. Also they'll schedule interview for you only for emergency AP and you have one month to travel back and forth. Maybe the decision is highly depending on who is handling your case. My fo is San Jose that's what I got from the uscis lady at the interview. They'll ask for the flight itinerary but compare to the "solid evidence" like your birth certificate and medical report (in English) it's not quite that necessary.

if i may ask, my expedite request was denied without the USCIS asked for evidence, how did you submit evidence?

@Sam S the officer scheduled an interview for me just for the emergency AP. so I presented them at the interview. They didn't write any status regard to this. My guess is that emergency AP is not the same as normal AP. So call them and tell them your situation, the infopass people will you decide what to do.
