do you have an online uscis account, if yes go check the documents section under the case … an approval document may have been posted there … it happens quite a lot when it’s a slam dunk case and no rfe’s needed

@Jay Jay, what did you submit with the i130 for your step child. I have a friend who submitted just the form and their birth certificate, and haven't heard anything even though she received her receipts for her Adjustment Case. Was wondering if they're sending it back. She sent it with her Adjustment of Status concurrent filing

you have to file with a citizenship cert, your ID or passport, marriage certificate of the new marriage, if there was a divorce down the line before the new marriage, u need to upload that too, the kids birth cart and password bio page if possible. That's all the documents u need to provide them with.

jay yes it can be posted online even if it is for a child abroad or anywhere. all that is required for that is that you had an online uscis account and you added the case to your online account

Mary if you get these docs you all set to go. tell your friend to create a uscis account and upload them if she didn't sent them initially.

sometimes it takes a couple of days for the case to show approved online or change from actively reviewing or the letter to be posted but if it’s been approved immediately, the approval letter would be there in the account

yes Fola we filed online so we created an account with the uscis but my question is, if it's been posted online, how or when can we her the hard copy?

I have the same situation minor child under 12 too. PD is Nov. 2020 and Actively reviewing since Dec 2020. The i130 was in Texas and now transferred to the NBC. No approval.

When I filed he was 9 but now he turns 10. It's my husband who is filing for me and my son, his stepson. I'm here in the US and he outside of the country.

you know, if a case is transferred to another service center to my psychological understanding, it's like a refreshed case so it will now take the current processing time of that service center even though your PD is current. so don't worry you will hear from them soon ok. what's your home country if I may ask?

My home country is Jamaica 🇯🇲. I think it's because I'm doing AOS and haven't not been scheduled for an interview yet. His case is now at the NBC one month now and I had to call to find out and there is no way to check the processing for there. Luckily they sent my combo card, so I'm now waiting for my interview to be scheduled.

yes yes you are right. they would have to approve you both they can't approve one and leave one yes uts true so just wait patiently he is a minor so his approval is outstanding so calm down ok.

jay, for several cases that I have read about and for my own personal case .. when I got the notice of actively reviewing, I logged into my uscis account out of curiousity almost immediately and saw under documents that the approval document was already there even though it did not change from actively reviewing for a few days and I got the official i797 a few days after the status changed to approved
