did they say why they denied your application

Maria, hello. can I know why they denied your case? I got married also in 2019 and we filed our petition in June 2019 but not response. yet 20 months alredy. I think they take 90 days to reply that, I think because I read one time something about it but I don’t remember well. but can I know the reason why they denied it?

i filed in November and i got notice for extra evidence after i updated my status from permanent to citizen and i was so happy they took care of my case but 1 little mistake put my case to denied. i was missing 1 document which they ask and my attorney didn't submit that . somehow he missed if.

pls what was the missing document, my husband filed for i130 alone a yr ago as a LPR but soon we have to also make an update to citizen. Thank you. We used an attorney for the filing.

For me it was my Nikaah Nama called mariage certificate which i submitted but they needed original one with translation. so my attorney didn't send that

i know it sounds very dumb too be honest I'm so mad at him it was a very basic a easy document but idk how he skipped that.

wow! so you hire/have an attorney and first of all they don’t send the Nikaah Nama/Marriage Ceritficate + the translation if it is not in english and then even after USCIS ask for the evidence, the attorney missed it. Don’t want to rude but they just messed your life/ years. for USCIS, they will need the marriage certificate + other document to prove it’s a bonafide marriage and it’s in good faith and once the evidences were not sent it was denied! Not sure if appeal will help but good luck and change your attorney please! That’s really messed up

yeah i understand all that, I've no other option right now except to wait for the apeal that i sent already 😭

Good luck and i do feel bad for you but i am really pissed with the lawyer who is taking your money and not doing his job properly!

yes you need original nikahnama in Urdu, plus translation in English with a certification from translator per USCIS requirements, plus marriage registration certificate from Nadra.

We sent it to Dallas, Texas! how long should we wait for it? we were planning to re apply after 2 months

that's where I've sent mine. there wait time is 6 month i guess, if we don't hear anything back from them we have right to ask them after 6 month and then whatver they tell us to do. i don't think so need to re apply until we get any answer from them

@Maria Shehzadi, how come? They normally answer like 1-2 hours. But the last time was we just waited for 30 minutes. it’s frustrating huh...

no information online too, when i try to check my case status it just show it's declined and no further detail. so so stressed 😫

it's been 2 years now since i got married and we both living far, couldn't go back because of my job and also covid . i was so confident this year we might be together but trust me i feel like they're not going to do anything . I've so many other plans with my husband and it looks like never gonna happen.

Hello Maria She, for you get through the call and get an person and not the authometic voice you say “technical support or info pass or pass appointment” when my husband call he says “technical support” and it works. and now, can you tell me how many time have you seen your husband since the two years of marriage. my husband and I we live far away too, I live in Colombia and he in USA. we had plans to see next year but the Covid fucked up, and this years but it’s complicated too :(. I hope they don’t bother because we have not seen frequently. it’s been hard. my pd I june 2019 it’s in Vermont and not approval yet. thanks for your response

I'll try one more time to call them. i got married almost 2 years now and live with him just for 1 month because of job i had to come back to newyork and he lives in pakistan . i wanted to go back but covid f up as u said.

so, i did call the way you said and finally able to speak to someone but she said she doesn't have any info. for the appeal I've to go to this website and check processing time for that appeal which I've done it already and it is not helpful at all.
