Canada is a very wealthy country and saying somebody is going through though time there might not fly to the uscis agent. the stress is not enough reason to expedite a request. most people applying are under stress. you need a reason that is life threatening or something like that for them to even look at it. the father’s funeral can be a valid argument but since she is a refugee, she cannot travel back home, which makes things complicated. anyway, my support to you and your family!

YES it is very complicated. My wife is going through a lot mentally, taking a decision to go back home and knowing the consequences shows the level of mental state she's going through. Fingers crossed, and thank you for your support.

I submitted an expedite request last week myself, and just waiting to hear back...im in Canada at the moment myself, and hoping to get back to the US as soon as my husband can get here. Wondering if you included any medical documentation (like a psychological evaluation) for your wife? my lawyer suggested that to me, and curious to know if they rejected your request after having this type of evidence?

Thank you Mrs. Ike. My request was rejected without looking at any evidence! The agent wasn't even interested in hearing, I knew it would be rejected. Anyhow, I have all the documents and I submitted a request to the senator office this time. Let's see how it goes. I hope you hear from them though.
