I 130 & I 485 Concurrent Filing
Spouse of a US citizen who is here in the US, filed for AoS in February 2020, I 130 got approved on September 24 and 485 has an update since July 22, saying it’s ready for interview to be scheduled. I am trying to understand if I need to do anything for I130 now, do I need to register for visa interview and all or just wait for 485 processing. and has anyone come across this (waiting for interview to be scheduled since July ) for Baltimore office ?

I have the same situation, and I checked many other applications and found some people who had their i-130 approved in September while the I-485 still pending. I called the USCIS for my case and I was told that they need more time to process I-485. you don’t need to do anything about it, other than waiting according to my understanding

I don’t know if they still will need to schedule interview after I-130 applroval or they will waive the interview. it’s very confusing.

since it's a concurrent filing you just need to wait on the interview for your I-485.

I think they will still conduct the interview, based on other forums I have seen that marriage based applications usually don’t have interviews waived.

when you do concurrent filing, it means they are adjudicating both cases at the same time, so at I-485 interview, they will have both forms there in comparison to when you do I-130 first then file I-485 after I-130 interview, that is why when you do a concurrent filing and you get your green card interview approved and your i-130 is not yet approved they tell you that they have to wait until the i-130 is approved to issue your green card but if your i-130 is approved before your green card interview once you get approved at the green card interview then you get your green card immediately without waiting on your i-130 approval.

but to note this is USCIS so everyone's case is different therefore everyone has a different process somewhat.

I saw few spouses who got interview waived, also my understanding is that they do the interview to confirm the relationship, and the approval of i130 is a confirmation of the relationship. that’s why they don’t interview the parents. please keep us updated and good luck.
