I-129F extended processing time
I know I’m still early in the process, but I noticed that the processing times for the K1/K2 visa have increased by about 3 months recently. Does anyone know if this is for new cases, or does it affect previous cases retroactively? Based on a recent call to the USCIS, it seems to be the latter, but I don’t understand why such a significant delay all of a sudden.

the average at the moment is 11 months. and yes, it affects cases retroactively. if nothing changes for better or worse, expect around august this year.

Thanks, Anthony. I just sent an email to my Representative — not to push my case, but to request that he makes pressure on the USCIS. I wish more people here did that, since it’s the only option that could actually make a difference.

We should all make noise. It’s easy to ignore a citizen, not so much when we join our voices.

I just googled for his contact info. They should have a contact form on the Congress’ website. Who’s your representative?

It depends on your specific district. Google based on your specific residence.
