How long to have a tier 1 service request assigned for processing?
I responded to a medical RFE for I-485 >60 days ago and have not heard back and so filed a tier 1 service request. This has not yet been assigned to an officer for processing and so I wanted to check in with the community to ask if you knew how long this would take?
Thanks!

good luck! how do you see if it is assigned to an officer or not?

you need to call and ask Emma. they can tell you. Where do you live or where is the ASC that would be responsible for your case
K HNov 1, 2021
I called Emma and it hasn’t been transferred to an FO - still at NSC

Where do you live? Go to USCIS and check for your FO that will be responsible for your case. Check there processing time.
I know you filed Nebraska but if you filed concurrently and if your case starts with LIN21*** then a FO needs to make a decision on your case.
K HNov 2, 2021
I don’t think that’s true - service centers adjudicate cases themselves and just transfer some to field offices. None of my cases are at a field office.

Second, processing times also vary depending on whether an interview is required for the benefit you are seeking. If your petition requires an interview, the time it will take for you to receive an interview notice will depend on the waiting period of your local field office, the volume of applications received at that office, your place in line for an interview, and of course the current office closures. Field offices are currently closed. USCIS has not released information regarding when individual field offices will open. We know that citizenship applications and oath ceremonies are currently being prioritized. We have also received some information regarding our local USCIS office in San Diego, California that you can find her

@ser, That’s more than a year old post. @J A, in my case, the file is still with NBC. But they are waiting for FO as FO sent me a medical RFE and I submitted there. Ehen everything is submitted to the SC, they make a decision and send some to the FO. I don’t know when and for what!

and it’s still accurate but okay believe what you want.
