I’m in Houston too 10/21 not updates
Jennifer AlvarezDec 19, 2022
@humpy dumpty I haven’t submitted a request for I-130 cause mine change to actively review on octumber 25 and it says to wait at least 60 days from your last update. So I guess in a week or so I’ll do it too! keep me updated if you get an answer!

just checked processing time, seems to have gone up again to 22.5 months for Houston field office, we basically have to wait for 2 years now and they consider it normal…

@ humpty dumpty my I-130 PD is July 26, USC filing for a spouse of 12 years, filed online IOE933xxx, ended up in Nebraska with estimates of 10.5 months for 80% of cases, I-485 is still at NBC and interviews waived, hasn’t made it to my field office (Houston). I-130s don’t seem to be moving at all… tracking on hilites and on lawfully, I think I-130s are a major hurdle, so I can’t even blame it on Houston yet. I guess I-130 has all the bona fide evidence for review so I-485 just follows I-130. I know it’s early days compared to all of you but I would be very happy with EAD and AP. I stopped asking people when they got theirs because there is no logic to how USCIS picks cases to work on, it’s not first come first serve. they are very much focused on cases after a October 22 (fiscal year 23) to meet the new cycle times and to not add to the backlog, in the meantime the backlog barely moves. they are doing better on H1Bs and employment categories but family based cases are stuck with no real progress

@jules S you’re right at some points but according to estimate times I don’t agree and you right its all about i130 not i485.. I did submit service request of i130 I talked to agent he said your req is in pending wait 30 days its been already 23 days so far.. so from here I can just wait nothing else I can do even my lawyer said same thing if we act today we might here something in couple of months.. N Good luck to you hope everyone gets approve soon

any update? I checked with Emma and they say my case is with San Antonio FO and 2 days ago my i130 moved to actively reviewing
Jennifer AlvarezDec 30, 2022
I submitted a request for 1-130 and this is the answer I got.
USCIS has reviewed your Service Request. According to USCIS records, your application is still pending. At this time, we anticipate you should receive a decision or other notice from USCIS within 180 days of this notice. Please be advised that posted processing times are goals based on Field Office averages. These goals are subject to change and can vary from office to office. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by delays in processing.
🥲🥲🥲 hahahaha

@Jennifer Alvarez, hoping for a good outcome for you
yy hhDec 30, 2022
@John Linn, I believe so.. let’s wait and see
Jules SDec 30, 2022
I thought Service Centers approve I-130, not field offices. @ Jennifer, was your I-130 transferred to Houston field office? thank you
Jennifer AlvarezDec 31, 2022
@Jules S I have no idea! they didn’t tell me. I’ll try to chat with Emma to find out!
yy hhDec 31, 2022
normally if I-130 is filed alone then they’re processed at service centers. however, when someone filed an AOS (I-130 &I-485) then they’re processed at Service center first and then transferred to field offices for final approval/decision. but for last one year the entire process is confusing because of interview waivers and backlogs
Jules SJan 1, 2023
@ yy hh it’s the first time I am hearing that a field office has a final say over I-130. I actually think that some I-485s that are family based are now approved by NBC in case interviews are waived. as I understand the field office’s main responsibility are interviews but if interviews are waived I think some cases never make it there. my I-130 is in Nebraska, I-485 is in NBC and interview was waived. I am hoping at some point when Nebraska finally gets their act together and approves my I-130 this will mean that NBC will approve my I-485 and my case never makes it to Houston field office with 22 months processing time for 80% cases. wishful thinking I guess
yy hhJan 3, 2023
@John Linn, when I asked Emma today, they told me that my case is with NBC.. not sure what’s happening.. too confusing
yy hhJan 3, 2023
@Jules S, you’re correct
humpty dumptyJan 12, 2023
@Jennifer Alvarez I’ve a question when they replied to yout request do u know what was their adress was it from memphis tenesse? They finally replied me n said you going to hear within 120 days.. I asked emma my file was in memphis tenesse few months back but am in houston..
humpty dumptyJan 12, 2023
@john Linn Thanks Brother.. so that means my case is handeling by memphis tenesse mine came from memphis tenesse FO agent was right.. USCIS has reviewed your Service Request. According to USCIS records, your petition is associated with an adjustment of status application and is still pending. At this time, we anticipate you should receive a decision or other notice from USCIS within 120 days of this notice.
Jules SJan 13, 2023
nice progress on I-130s starting with IOE today. 1772 cases approved as shown on hilites today, it’s the highest numbe I have seen since I started tracking. fingers crossed
humpty dumptyJan 13, 2023
same here IOE.. good luck to all of us
humpty dumptyJan 13, 2023
@John Linn lmfao! you’re right
Jules SJan 14, 2023
once it goes past 365 days for me I am going to sue USCIS for issuing a decision, those enquiry dates and processing time estimates are not law, earlier timing can be claimed unreasonable as per my research
