1. If you’re asylum seeker, you should not leave the US and most likely your advance parole will be denied. There are exceptions but extremely rare.
2. If you mean someone whose asylum was granted then you’re not asylum seeker but asylee. Asylees can apply for Refugee Travel Document which costs $165 and it takes 14 months on average. You could expedite if you have a valid reason.

thank you
so I'm an asylee, and I haven't been applying for a change of status with the I-485 for two years. Thirteen months ago, I applied for the asylum travel permit. My question is, has anyone in my situation been able to travel with the special asylum permit?

Refugee Travel Document

@Erik ap yes a lot of people have been traveling on RTD without GC. Unless you have criminal history or traveling to your country you should be good.
There’s always a risk of course when you travel even with GC.
I monitor lawfully, forums, and telegram groups and see that people safely travel using RTD without GC and come back fine.
Maybe others who have recently travelled can chime in.

thank you so much
I have advance parole for I-485 and I left last year without any problems, but they say it's safer to travel with RTD.

@Erik ap yes as an asylee you should be using RTD, it’s the safest.
