I contacted a local congressman, not senator - they responded quickly within few days, then it took them about 1-1.5 weeks to prepare the package to send it. In 2-3 weeks I got response from them that expedite request was rejected. It was EAD renewal for L2, CA, financial loss to company and personal.

I wrote mine two months ago and no response. They made me fill out many forms to contact them and release my USCIS info but heard nothing back.

oh, maybe they've sent it and waiting for response. in my case it was when they delayed their responses

I contacted multiple - one got back to me and put in an expedite request (similar to Kate - E2 EAD renewal, financial loss, non profit org) and it was denied. I don’t think it makes it any more successful to be honest, but with the current delays trying anything and everything is worthwhile!
