around 3 weeks, I called them again after 2 weeks and then they approved it in next 5 days

@Mocha M I told them that I have to travel in May and I want to keep my h1 active, I don't wana travel on travel document so I have to go for stamping and all, those things will be extra cost for my organization and it will be financial burden on them.

@M E yes, it's different then the inquiry.

@Ham sandwhich sandwhich not sure, I took a chance and it worked out for me. But that is all I told them.

@J S I did it for my 485. My AP was already approved last year but I told them I want to keep my h1b active untill I will get my decision.

on the same call I requested expedite for my wife 485 as well with the same reason because she is my dependent. They rejected her request and said she can travel on AP but we both got the approval same day.

i personally think my expedite justification wasn't really strong but I tried and it worked for me. I believe its all about luck, some thing can work out for 1 person and the same thing can't work for others.
