when i wrote to few universities they also told me that i need green card, so i just gave up

I got FASFA using my prima facie letter last year when I applied for nursing school and it was approved. Am sorry about your outcome.

@sweet lins if you want to pay back a loan after u finish school then follow what @survivor p is saying. however if you have no intention of paying back a loan then that route is not for you. you are not eligible for fafsa with an approved i360, only the prima facie grant you public benefit, in order to qualify for fafsa not a loan you need a GC

it felon the school. my school too doesn’t accept Prima facie so I had to find a way. By God grace I am graduating Nursing School in December.All the Glory goes to God.

@sweet lins if you will have to pay back your loan depends not from if you have green card or not but if you have already bachelor degree or not. if not, you don’t have to worry. If you already have one bachelor degree (even from your country) then you will have to pay your fafsa back (doesn’t matter if you have green card or not)

yes, it’s still undergrad degree. just remember there are also limits for aid you don’t have to repay. https://studentaid.gov/help-center/answers/article/am-i-eligible-for-direct-subsidized-loan

only survivor p alone get fafsa with an approved vawa. fafsa will approved you even without the greencard but will the school process it, no. The schools use a system where whatever document u send to them they send to uscis and that's when uscis will say u are not qualified for public benefits. you can get a loan to repay but you won't receive the grant. the link only works for her too. I want to see the person who will get through without a GC and has an approved vawa.

I got approved for a technical community college about to pursue my associate’s degree in nursing too and I was approved by using my prema facie 🙏🏾 so entirely grateful 🥹 for this opportunity I will never take it lightly, I’m about to start this Fall semester and I have a new student 🧑‍🎓 welcome party 🎉 to attend this coming week I’m soooo excited 😆 thank You Jesus You’re turning it around for me 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
