I don't know if it looks suspicious but if you have offer then you should give it a try. worst case they will ask for a proof.

with me when I expedited the I131 they automatically approved the work permit as well ..even though uscis shipped my card and this over 11 days and usps ain’t deliver it yet ..really dunno what’s going on!😡

Unfortunately a potential job offer in the USA is not a valid reason to expedite EAS. USCIS will expedite it if there is a severe financial loss (this is not the same as losing your job unfortunately), urgent humanitarian reason or a clear USCIS error (again waiting for months to get your receipt doesn’t qualify as a USCIS error). Definitely try to expedite it, but keep your expectations to a minimum.

@glam white did you try going to your local post office and see if they can trace it for you. Also if it is only been a day then they sometimes deliver couple days late

@uros my experience was different. when we expedited for my parents based on a job offer, theirs expedite request was approved

@outaway3 3 yes I did go to the post office it’s not there .. was to be delivered since May 15 .. when I track it in transit arriving late

@glam white If you live in an apartment then other possibility is that the mail was put in a wrong mailbox. Your best bet is to ask your mail person if they can help locate the mail

@outaway3 3 hey more power to you, I’m just saying that is writen on the USCIS website. I tried to expedite my EAD beause I’ve lost my job more than 4 months ago and that was the only source of income for my family and they denied it. Can you share more about your parents’ situation? What was the processing center, was it marriage based, when did they expedite it?

@ uros jovanovic how do you proof servere financial loss when expediting ?

I gathered all the bills and statements, bank statements that show your current balance and any other type of expenditure that you have. I’ve also asked for my HR to draft a letter stating my importance to the company, etc. Still didn’t go through, so I would keep my expectations to a minimum

@Uros did you try expediting again based on the same set of evidence? I filed for my parents. Both had a job offer and that is what I mentioned in my request. Although theirs expedite request was approved on April 10th, my mom get her EAD and SSN but for my dad it is still at Expedite approved. No action on his case. My best case his case has not been assigned to an officer yet.

@outaway3 3 hey it blew my mind too. I’ve tried using the senator’s request, their office reached to USCIS Aajd within 3 days I got denied. I’m thinking of trying again using a different senator, because we have two senators here in Virginia.
