employment termination
hello folks..
My 180 day opt extension is coming on 14 Nov and my STEM extension has not yet been approved.
I asked my employer if I can apply for unpaid leave..ti which they said no.
they told me on Nov 14
..they would terminate me from the company's system and provide a termination letter stating unable to verify employment status and hence termination.
guys will I have a negative impact if this in my career be it jobs or future green card?
what should I..let them terminate or voluntarily resign

It won't have any negative impact on your future career. It's unfortunate just how much employers don't care about internationals. Especially since they're still aware of the immigration delays. You'd think they would have procedures in place to enable people in your position to return after you're approved.

Just start looking for another job once they terminate it. God will provide for you.

I have another offer in hand joining Nov 22...but they cannot push beyond that....how do I push uscis that I will loose old and new employment if you do not approve in timely manner

i am sending an expedite request and got a letter from my employer but only works in some cases

I approached uscis ombudsman and sent them the letter.....service request raised via emma agent
