Try expediting you case by chatting with Emma or calling USCIS, they will ask you for proof. You can ask you employer to give you a letter stating that they will have to let you go if you don’t get your EAD approved.

try to expedite. unlikely to get approved but there is still hope. I'm unemployed for 3 month! so totally get your frustration...
