EAD Approved July 16 2021 Filer
Finally!! my wife’s EAD was approved today after multiple expedited request. The approval also came with the advanced parole so she can travel abroad as needed. Eventually helped from congressman’s office and offer letter helped the case. Good luck up all who are still waiting, be optimistic and diligent in following up, make your congressman or woman work for you!

@PO, from NC and Nebraska FO. have you contacted your Congress rep? if not, I strongly suggest you do.
Yv3S VFeb 16, 2022
@sassyj, good luck. what I’ve heard is that there’s a backlog due to processing of humanitarian apps.

how did you send offer letter ? with e mail with fax and how many day after you send offers to them they gave you answer? congrats by the way
Sassy AFeb 16, 2022
@Yv3s V: Thank you. I hope it was just that. It’s just ridiculous that none of these responsible make sense that too many people are loosing their job just because they refused to adjudicate apps for over a year when it takes only 12mins for each.
Even though it’s a humanitarian crisis, where is their contingency plan? If they can’t add more agents why don’t they increase the length of automatic extension? I get if they can’t adjudicate all green cards but at least they should keep people employed.
Why should anyone wait for over a year to get their EAD renewal approved? How does that help any way when I can’t apply for renewal before 180 day and it’s taken over a year to get it, in the meantime extension is 180 days? There are many things they could do yet people and families are suffering because of that.

sassy I lost many many good and big jobs. one of them still waiting me. I asked them if they can give me offer letter maybe I can give uscis. company said ‘ hr can’t give you any offer letter if you don’t have work permit.’ I’m feeling like prisoner. I can’t take even offer letter officially. I can only lose jobs and money. I can only be loser. god job 👏🏻 I can even go the field office and work with them for free. I just want my work permit. I’m so tired no answer. nothing.

@sassy j, believe me I totally agree with your statements and my sentiments that you’ve not gotten yours. @mary azo, yes having jobs certainly is important but having the ead to be able to hold the job is even more important. the backlog does not help the economy since there are people who are willing and able but can’t. there must be a reform that could change this. priority on EAD!
my advise is to really have your Congress representative work for you. call or email as frequent as possible, they have a liaison in DC and USCIS that can look into your case. plea your case! there’s a potential way aroundy EAD if employers are willing, explore.
Yv3S VFeb 16, 2022
@mary azo, work with your Congress rep, once their Liaison is involved, you can send your offer letter to the representatives office and they can forward it to USCIS liaison officer.
Sassy AFeb 16, 2022
@Mary Sorry about that. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t give you an offer letter. I’ve heard on that forum that people use their offer letter to request for expedite request. Maybe you need to fight with those employer for an offer letter or find one who can give you one. You maybe loosing jobs but definitely not a looser. It’s none of your fault. Keep your head up, there will be light coming soon at the end of the tunnel.
Sassy AFeb 16, 2022
@Yv3S: Do you mind share your expedite requests experience, that might be helpful to us, at least me with my spouse’s case. We got denied once already. Thanks in advance.
Yv3S VFeb 16, 2022
@Sassy J. Absolutely! My wife went to her bio on 10/21 which we had to cut our Vegas vac short since we didn't want to resched (to those reading this, don't resched USCIS appt as this will further delay your processing times indefinitely, try to attend the first sched!!!). On 11/22, we requested an expedite (due to finance hardship) which was immediately denied (and norm according to USCI agent), we requested again for another expedite. The following week we reached out to our congressman (NC - Price) and asked their office to help w/ the expedite. They initiated an inquiry into our case and a 30-day timer started. Now there's 2-expedite request (us & Price); USCIS has 45-60 days to respond to both. No update in December since it's still within 45 days. Jan 27, was the next update we received from Price's office stating, USCIS has a "high volume" of applications and our case was still being looked into. On Feb 7, we received another update from Price's office stating that EAD is not yet approved due to insufficient proof or evidence and requested "supporting documentation such as a job offer or letter from employer regarding the basis for the expedited request". This was easy since my wife already had a job offer since Dec, so it was just a matter of sending a copy to Price's office to be relayed to USCIS. On Feb 15, I logged into Lawfully, and it stated that the EAD card is being produced which indicated that our last action justified the expedite.
It could be discouraging for sure! But I'll keep repeating myself over and over, make your congress rep work for you but be polite about your request. Set your expectations accordingly based on Lawfully's suggested approval timeline (which is fairly accurate) to lessen the disappointment. Stay optimistic and positive, you will get there.

@Yv3S V: We were prudent not to double the request together with congressional inquiry. As advised by a lawfully member, we finally requested expedite a 2nd time on Friday Feb 28 (day 9 of congressional inquiry). Guess what? It’s approved today after submitting evidence yesterday.
It’s just a little step but it means a lot to us at this point. Today was supposed to be last day of work. God is good.
