do 485 cases need to move to FO for adjudication?
I am seeing mixed information online about whether employment based visas need to go through a field office (local or non-local) for approvals to happen? Are approvals coming from NBC too? stuck in a situation where I have multiple timestamp updates yet my case remains at NBC.

It does not have to be approved at a FO. Whether or not your case gets transferred depends on a lot of factors, it could be that your case requires an interview, could be USCIS workload redistribution, etc. Our interview was waived and the case eventually was approved at NBC

they moved to FO for a part of the process. Need additional review or case load MGMT -> transfer to FO needs an interview -> goes to local FO most get their final approval from NBC itself so likely that the FO moves the case back.

@K H , thanks, that is good to know. I had been getting conflicting information online. I see we have similar filing dates. hoping for some movement soon. did you see any API updates without events prior to approval?

@n s I only had the first 2 fta0 the day of the biometrics. but i read that it was standard, the 3rd fta0 was the one that mattered

@K H , yes I realize the third FTA0 is the most important. I'm wondering if you had timestamp updates prior to that on the api

I'm sitting on third FTA0 for the last 2 months. it's usually a good sign but not guaranteed

My case never went to FO, it was approved directly at NBC
