@F g Just go to your local dmv with the extension letter and your expired greencard, they will give you a license that has the same validity as your extension letter.

go with your EAD, extension notice and everything listed on DMV website. I was in the same boat a while ago and was given a DL valid for 8yrs. I live in NC too. Good luck!

just your extension they will E verify you, sone are instant and some will tell you to wait for sometimes and come back. USCIS will send you an email or call to notify you that it’s completed or you can use you online account to track it

@F g I took my expired EAD, 797 receipt notice, SSN, insurance card ( proof of vehicle insurance), proof of address, current license , your renewal notice if you have one and cash or card for payment. NC DMV takes walk in from 12-4pm. You can barely find Appointments online or the dates are far away. I hope you make it in time and meet a really nice person. You’re very welcome .
