my friends has don and made interviews but didn’t get visa .administration prosses and some of then his completed nvc DQ but no interview up to now

For the medical examination for Yemen citizens, do they do it in Yemen or does it have to be in Djibouti?

@Sarah so the medical exam has to be done in Djibouti? Do you if people have to take their immunization record with them?

@Nismah yes medical exam is done in Djibouti. If you have the immunization records it doesn’t hurt to bring them but Yemen doesn’t really keep record or give the vaccines that are required according to family i have there. My husband doesn’t have any immunization records and hasn‘t had any done in Yemen so I’m not 100% sure

@Sarah thank you for the info, so for those who don’t have immunization records, do they test them during the exam and have them take the immunizations needed? I don’t know how the process goes because I don’t have any family that went through the Djibouti embassy before, if you know about this please let me know, and also, how long do the medical exam results take to come back, I’m not sure how long in advance before the interview should my husband go for the medical exam.

@Nismah yes they will give them all the required vaccines at the medical. I did hear that the covid vaccine needs to be done before the medical but that was months ago not sure if that’s still the same. (All this info is from the beginning of 2022, things are always changing)so based on my family they did the medical 2 weeks before the interview and the place sent it directly to the embassy but another family member was handed a packet that he had to give them on the day of his interview. honestly ones he arrives in Djibouti he can ask all the other Yemenis to see what process he needs to follow. Don’t stress about it everything will work out. My husband is still waiting for an appointment so i can’t give you exact details but I’ll ask a friend who’s currently there and get back to you. wishing you the best!

@Sarah it makes sense that the Covid vaccine needs to be done before the medical since they usually give them two shots and they give it in Yemen, thank you! Let me know if other details that will help us and I will let you know how our process goes once he goes to the interview

@ Nismah i would just get the Covid vaccine done in Djibouti they have the full dose only 1 shot option. Does Yemen still have the vaccine available?

@Sarah A friend told me the same thing about the Covid vaccine to just get it in Djibouti because it’s even more reliable, and I think it will be part of the medical exam
