Department of State Sent Case to USCIS For Further Review
my fiancé (US citizen) and I have submitted out I-129F in August 2021, received an approval notice from the USCIS on January 18th, 2023 but on March 13th, 2023 we got a notice saying , “the Department of State sent us your case, Receipt Number xxxxx , for review”.
what does this typically mean? and if you have experienced something similar to our case, what was it and how much time did it add to your K1 visa?

@Mia _ It sucks. 55 days later after USCIS approved it, NVC should have completed its process and sent to respective Embassy where you are for visa interview. I know it’s painful, but your US citizen fiancé/fiancée can call USCIS and know what’s missing and why is it sent back and what you should do this time. Ask USCIS to expedite your case as they have caused the delay.
