you were lucky, my husband had to wait 14 months for his interview, he submitted his N-400 in 2/17/20

hi Lisa, I too submitted my citizenship application on 4th March, 2020. They took one year just to inform me that my Biomatrics have been waived as they would use previously captured one. Now they are saying I will have to wait for another 6 months for an interview.

@ Abbas f, if your status changed as; " interview has been scheduled" you don't have to wait 6 months. My husband's status changed to interview has been scheduled 2 weeks ago and this week he finally got the letter from USCIS saying that the interview is for April 29th

thanks for sharing your experience. this has relieved my anxiety. Now I can hope that like your husband’s case progress mine would progress the same way and I would receive a letter for an interview likely to be held in May,2021. I wish your husband best for the interview and I wish he would have Oath ceremony the same day .

@ Abbas f, thank you! Our attorney saids his clients from New York and New Jersey, had their oath ceremonies around 1 or 2 months after interview because this field offices are very busy. Also the decision depends on the profile of the person who is applying for naturalization, if the person has a record, the decision could take months after interview, in my husband's case unfortunately he has record in the past, 2 WDUI, street fights when he was young, resisting to arrest and little stuff like this. obviously he was young and immature but it was more than 10 years a go. if you have a clean record don't worry your oath ceremony is going to be like our attorney saids 1 or 2 months after interview.

Today I saw on my USCIS online Account that they had uploaded an Interview Letter screenshot. They have scheduled my Naturalization Interview for 28 April, 2021 . But surprisingly the Case Completion Time on the online account is March,2022 means another 11 months to wait. that doesn’t make sense to me?? Did something similar happen in your husband’s case update?
