my husband went for his citizenship interview today and the office said that he can not make a decision because he had an unpaid ticket which is pending in court since 2020. how do we pay for that ticket and move on? the lawyer say we can't pay for it because it's in court. uscis say they won't make a decision until he can send them receipt showing that it paid in full. any experienced this?

Yep…he has to go to court and pay it off and keep the receipt if not they will deny his citizenship until it’s paid

Go to the court and talk to their receptionist there

but the lawyer that we have on the case say he can't pay now because it's in court. we have to wait for the hearing first

your husband need to call the court find out when the case is coming up in court or get a court date and when he see the judge accepts to pay the ticket the judge give him the opportunity to pay and dimiss the case

yes that's what we planning to do hopefully they give him a court date before the deadline. because we have until December 1st to send this

we go online to see if we can pay for the ticket after entering all of his information and ticket number and everything they system says they have to ticket for that person so that means we can't even pay for it since they have no record of it
