Any one been in this scenario before: Last update for my I-485 shows its at National Benefit Center. i chatted with Emma today and i was informed it moved to Houston Field Office 2 days ago . Is it weird i dint get a notice? they just asked me to wait till i hear a feedback. Good sign or what? the wait is sighhhhhhhhh. did my fingerprints since April 2025. im the derivative applicant. main applicant has been approved since February and got their GC a week after

It is a very good sign. Is Houston local field office or non-local field office?

@A A It is very good sign. your decision is imminent. Typically they approve within 90 days after it gets to field office. This allows them to schedule interview, if needed. Thus 90 days time so it can be scheduled and then buffer for interview notice to arrive in mail, followed by interview date which should be far enough so you get notice on time. then actual interview and then approval. In the event they don’t want interview, which is always likely, it would just get approved much sooner.

@A A - I received an RFE from a non local field office and never received a case transfer notice. my attorney told me that if the case gets transferred again to my local FO then I "might" receive a notice, but not guaranteed. all the best and hope you get your approval soon !!
