Canadian Citizen residing in canada with pending status travelling to U.S
Hello everyone,
I'm a Canadian citizen married to an American citizen. I'm still living in canada and my husband in America while doing this entire process.
Although, we're just at the "beginning stage" of the process of my status change, i want to go visit him for the easter holiday, so basically a temporary visit.
What I can't seem to have is a "guaranteed answer" that i wont be denied entry at the airport border next month for this trip.
I called the US Customs and Border Protection, they said it shouldn't be an issue since i'm canadian citizen with a passport but cannot guarantee due to not having my file in front of him.
I asked Boundless ( file preparer), they confirmed it shouldn't be an issue since it's a temporary trip and i'm a canadian citizen with a passport ( basically we don't need "visa" to travel to the states). Although, at the beginning of preparing the filing they told me I wouldn't be able to visit my husband after filing the documents until a visa is assigned.
And, online it's hard to find a specific answer as well.
Is there any Canadians in that scenario that was able to cross the border for temporary trip while still in the process of their status ?
Thank you,

hiii, I’m also Canadian and currently in Canada while I wait for our process to be approved! I flew to the US 2 weeks ago to visit him, they did ask me questions like how I met my husband and such and I answered everything honestly. I didn’t have papers whatsoever on me either bc I didn’t expect to be questioned, the officers are nice but just be honest with them and it shouldn’t be an issue.

same boat. basically, depends on the officer. you could be denied-or they will let you right through no issues

Nobody will deny you entry. Just answer truthfully when asked your purpose of visit
