California i-130 for spouse Oct 2019
hello, I am green card holder, applied I 130 form for my husband ( he lives in the USA) In October 2019, still nothing. case is outside of processing time. I submitted an inquiry like 6 times, always get same reply like wait or the last one was: Thank you for your inquiry. We recognize your interest in the final adjudication of your pending application/petition and are aware of the difficulties caused by any delay in processing. We regret we are not able to give you a timeframe for when we will review your case but the California Service Center is committed to processing this workload. We will be making every effort to adjudicate your case in the most efficient manner based on our available resources. We appreciate your patience and understanding. I am going to apply for citizenship next week. do you think it can help to move my husband case faster? thanks

I’ve the same timeline with you October 2019. It is going to be 1000 days in 3 days, still nothing. I’ve exhausted all available options. one thing left is to SUE them, but I won’t do that. I can’t afford to spend $5000 on Mandamus. Best of luck as the waiting game continues.

yes, exactly. this is crazy. I see people getting approved from 2020 and 2021, how come? what's the criteria of skipping us?

Getting your citizenship will definitely help. A visa will be ready immediately for him, but I believe you'd have to start over the application once you're a citizen, or at least that's my understanding from a friend. They process citizenship requests very quickly now, and then if you reapply that's gonna cost you again. But filing with a green card normally would take over 2 years and these aren't normal times
