C9
Just spoke to immigration call center…if you are filing under c9 at the National benefit center…it’s a 12 month wait for employment authorization, omg. Just did an expedite request. They are currently working on February 2021.

for severe financial loss , etc

I just did expedite for financial loss. This is the 2nd time..no1 got to my 1st one. I will just keep calling every week. They must understand we are people that work who have lives and pay bills. I cannot afford to be unemployed until they process my paperwork. This is such BS.

for real

it is, I had initially expedited directly on call with USCIS agent , last week of December. They said someone should reach out to me in 7 days . Its been almost a month now, I havent heard anything back from them. Their excuse is that there are backlogs and the expedite requests will be handled in the order they were received. I then expedited again with a representative -congresswoman last Friday. I have seen here that people are getting an update in a week or 10 days since when the congressman's office sent the request to USCIS. So hopefully I get to hear something by the end of the week.

but it should typically take them 3 months to process EAD's unless there is an RFE. But this just has been very stressful and crazy with their response
Plus Lawfully's statistic shows that things are slow
lanim kezJan 26, 2022
I have been waiting as far back as March 2021
Layla MJan 26, 2022
Abdul…what did you say to the congresswoman? I called mine and no1 answered so I didn’t leave a message but I will call back. Did you say you need help with immigration? Or need help with a current case? What wording did you use?
Layla MJan 26, 2022
lanim…yours is coming soon!! They are processing Feb. Mine is August…I have a long wait ahead.
abdul khanJan 26, 2022
I said I will have severe financial loss, will not be able to meet my leasing agreement, pay my bills, medical bills, will lose insurance etc. A Staff member was quick enough to respond and we had exchanged emails and I provided supporting documents.

I said I needed help with my I-765 bases on my I-485. I can technically wait for my GC.
abdul khanJan 26, 2022

J CJan 26, 2022
