Approved K1 Visa - Entry to US Unvaccinated COVID19
Does anyone have any speculation or knowledge if approved K1 Visa applicants can enter the US unvaccinated from COVID 19 after the proposed Foreign Travel changes are implemented in November? This would be really concerning for those without access to vaccine to have to wait until they get vaccinated. Thanks!

They haven’t announced this yet - yesterday’s White House briefing asked this question and they said there would be some exceptions but didn’t say who or what

Thanks! I just watched it on YouTube and it was the last question addressed. More of a wait and see response from WH.

This is the exact situation that my fiancé is now in! Thank goodness someone else is thinking of this! My fiancé got the Sputnik vaccine (it has been widely distributed in Latin America and he was just grateful to get what he could at the time). The Sputnik vaccine isn’t one of the approved vaccines to enter the US. We have already booked his flight for December 1st and it’s unclear from yesterday’s announcement if K1 visa holders would be considered “immigrants”. His visa expires December 18th so we are in a time crunch 😣

Yes the K-1 visa is a confusing document. It's a nonimmigrant Visa but processed as an immigrant visa. Generally most applicants complete the vaccination requirements in their home country and now that an approved COVID Vaccine is required everything is much more confusing. They need to clarify if K1 is considered immigrant so that people can enter. I am sure it is confusing for the airlines too.
