AOS Interview
Hi everyone,
I would like to ask for some advice or insights regarding my current visa situation.
I am in the U.S. adjusting status (AOS) through marriage. We have been together for about 6 years and got married last year. I am currently working in the U.S. while waiting for our interview, which we will attend together once scheduled.
The only issue is that we are going through a crisis in our relationship. We are currently separated but still in contact and both want to attend the interview and be truthful about our situation.
My questions are:
• Has anyone been in a similar situation?
• How should we approach the interview given that we are temporarily separated?
• Could our case be denied if we explain honestly that we are trying to work things out?
• What do USCIS officers usually focus on in these cases?
Any insights or experiences would be really appreciated.
Thanks

Your case would be denied unless both of you resolve your differences and start living back together and be happy genuinely.. My friend had a similar situation and got denied. resolve the Problem and be back together. it’s a requirement and not an option!
chasing Greencard the green card is really green 1d
work things out or you'll get denied

Thank you. Even though we are legally married and fully committed to pursuing this together, we are young and have a long relationship behind us. In your opinion, is there really no chance of passing the interview? From what I’ve read online and on some lawyers’ forums, there seem to be some possibilities…

You don’t necessarily have to tell them you are separated 😉 you you have proof of taxes together, bank statements, pictures, bills together you’ll be fine 😊
