AOS case out of normal processing time
Good day team,
My AOS was filed and received November 5 2020 at NBC. I filed from San Francisco, now I checked the processing time on the uscis site, it is showing San Francisco is currently processing applications as of receipt dated November 28 2020.
My question is, can I put in a request for why mine is taking time? Is my service center San Francisco? I do not see NBC on the drop down menu.
thanks in advance

how did you check which applications they’re processing right now?
kenzeo mpoyiOct 12, 2021
go on to uscis website and check case processing times. choose which application you are and choose your service center

are they chanting the dates daily? or how that works, thanks tho

on a monthly basis

Kenzeo, you can chat with Emma and ask which center has your form currently and check the processing times for that. If it has been transferred to SF FO then you would be outside normal processing times based on the dates you’re seeing.

@ Narsi C. Thank you so much. Question, after how long do they usually send transfer to local office? it has been 12 months since I submitted. And as for Emma? do I ask her to speak to live agent? Coz Emma only gives me links to topics.

They usually give u a range for processing times. If your case already took longer than that range then you can submit a service request through that same USCIS page.

@ kenzeo it is anybody’s guess when they will send the application to the FO. Mine is Raleigh but the application has been stuck at TSC. When you chat with Emma ask for live agent chat to find where your application is

@Kenzeo, did you already receive EAD/AP card?
kenzeo mpoyiOct 12, 2021
@ Abc Pat, I received my combo card in July already.

@ L S, I contact my attorney and they said I can submit the inquiry. So I'm guessing my case is out of normal processing time.

honestly you can always submit an inquiry and when you submit it will say whether or not you are “within normal processing time”. also submitting doesn’t mean much… it doesn’t necessarily require USCIS to drop everything they do to address your inquiry. just so you know :-)

I've reached a live agent on Emma, they say my case is at the San Francisco FO and that my case is out of normal processing time. My attorney told me they will ask for expedite. Hopefully this works and I get an approval soon.

your case is not outside processing times, SF is working on April 2018.
kenzeo mpoyiOct 15, 2021
@scorredora SF my case is employment based. family base is 2018.
