@hopeful girl, which types of EAD approvals have you seen? I filed an application to renew my combo card based on AOS, and the website is suggesting 20-21.5 months.. this makes me anxious

@ M chrn I was referring to just I765 alone. Oh wow, that’s a long estimation, I hope those go down, because for my case it’s estimated at 8-14 months right now. I’m not familiar with the Combo card applications, but are you able to request expedite with your congressman/woman?

yup 3 times, using job loss and job offer letter as my supporting document but I have read in other blogs that they normally don’t approve expedite for my category A17

did you expedite through Congress people? this 20-21.5 estimate is killing me… it’s ridiculous that I applied for my first card in March 2020 and got approval in august 2020.,, so not sure how they’re still processing applications from Jan 2020

Yup, through my local congressman and twice on my own. Right, I applied for my EAD Aug 2020 and it got approved in Jan 2021. But I had to reapply because my I94 was going to expire and so my new EAD was only valid for 6 months. I thought 2021 they will process things faster but nope, it’s taking longer than 2020 😭

ugh yeah not sure what’s going on in California! I wish we could all sue them…
