agency does not answer me
I already got my combo card in Oct 2023. My agency tried to make me work as soon as possible but I persuaded them to let me work in Jan 2024. They agreed it. So I was preparing for moving and everything and tried to contact the agency, but they just left me email that the factory working registration is not open till Jan, and the agency will contact me later. Since then, they do not answer my email or anything. Am I safe?

if your pd is not current don't think of moving you will be stuck
EB3 UNSKILLEDJan 21, 2024
@A hope I agree 100% with you, best advice ever, if your PD isn’t current stay where you are living your life, believe you will regreat every single day you will have to wait for your green card, specially if your PD is 21,22 or even 23. If you have your I-485 pending for more than 6 months, you are safe by the law, even if they want to cancel your process you have the right to work anywhere else since you find some job similar, as you are unskilled it will be much easier if you need it. Now no rush a combo card don’t change anything in your life don’t make the mistake that a lot of people do. Stay calm and use the law in your favor. I wish the best for you.

@EB3 UNSKILLED well said, I wish I could know that before, working with sponsors for more than 1.5 years. No hope when PD would be current.

You are in a situation thousands of people are praying for Find something else doing and pray your employer never calls you back

@A hope I also agree. Don’t be stuck with the sponsor. @EB3 UNSKILLED that’s correct. Use combo card to work as an independent contractor to earn money as much as you can before working for the sponsor.

@A hope @EB3 UNSKILLED @Mk Asif @USCIS IS A MESS @eb3 unskilled According to what you guys said here, you guys think its better to keep my f1 Visa althou I alteady had a combo card. Do you guys think if its okay to work at a restaurant before going to work, dropping F1 VISA? Thanks for the advice, it actually helped me feel relaxed from anxiety.

@kim kim its your choice if you want to keep your f1 or drop it. But you are eligible to drop it now it will have no impact in your case. and about the work you can do any freaking job not just restaurant one you can literally do anything if they hire you

@A hope wow.. its actually much better than I thought.
EB3 UNSKILLEDJan 23, 2024
@kim kim you don’t have to keep your F1 anymore, if you already submitted your I-485 as you did, you are safe. yes don’t make others mistake, avoid suffering for no reason, you have to work to your sponsor after your GC is approved before that it is optional and will not affect your process in anyway. Done listen any coward, I am glad that everyone here on the comments knows what is the best in this situation, because I commented in another post and there are a lot of cowards trying to convince you they are happy working for $10 hour in the middle of nowhere with no hope to get their GC soon and trying to put others in the same situation. Believe me you are safe just play with the law and the law is in your side my friend.

@EB3 UNSKILLED I saw the another post wher everyone roasted you too. I was actually laughing at them for attacking you for telling the truth. They are scared of rfe; green card revoke unnecessarily. I am used to be a coward and I took a leap of faith to use i485J and now my life is so much better. It could be the best if I don’t start working for the sponsor in thr first place.

@EB3 UNSKILLED I read some of your previous comments on others. I appreciate it you left a comment on mine. But, here’s what I concerned from your comment. My i485 is not pending. Its status is finger print fee is accepted. Is it still okay to drop my f1 status?
EB3 UNSKILLEDJan 25, 2024
@kim kim look the law says: “ You have to have a valid status on the day you submit your I-485 application a day after you can drop the school because you had a valid status when you applied for your GC, you are pending doesn’t matter what is saying on the app, when you submit your I-485 you are actually pending. Of course there are phases like (interview or case remaining pending etc..) but by the law you don’t have to keep your F1 after you submit your I-485. Simple like that. Also can come some cowards here saying “what happens if they denied your Green Card you can’t replied bla bla bla” That’s true however ask yourself: Why will they deny your Green card?! Did you do something wrong? Did you violate your status while you are studying? If yes and they denied for those reason sorry to say but you aren’t able to reply anything my friend you will automatically loose your F1 status that you spent a lot money and time to keep it for no reason. Is it make sense? Did you get what I mean? I hope so. God bless us and use the law In your favor don’t be coward.

@EB3 UNSKILLED I just tried to make sure about the words that’s confusing. Thanks. Seems like its actually better to make money for hiring a lawyer to protect myself while I’m waiting, instead of loosing money to school. Thank you
