my parents had their green card interview (both iranian) on June 1st,2021. my mom got the immigration visa and she's here and got the green card. my dad (was issued visitor visa twice) got the white paper and is still under "administration processing ". it's different case by case but people say minimum of 6 months for Iranian men is not unusual😖

Hi! oh man that sucks! that’s crazy that they issue the woman the visa ( or in your case your mom) , and then not issue your dad the visa! I’ve read about this happening to several Iranians, especially the men! do you think it has anything to do with him serving in the military? Or do you think it’s just because he’s from Iran? it’s so wrong… like why don’t they check all of this stuff beforehand? it should take maximum 6 weeks to do all that, not even 6 months or more, so weird 😭

it's so baaaaad, the military service is so important for them specially if it was after 1979 (the revolution!) but it's always been crazy about regular iranian men just asking for the same thing as a woman! in my case my mom and dad! I think this is the only case women has more right than men in this world😄 really hope your husband gets through this crazy process and also my dad😑 keep me posted and I'll keep you posted.
